These flag gears will get rid of the "Toner End Life" message which pops up while enhancing the quality of your prints. Starter cartridges DO NOT come with this gear.

The "Flag" gears resets the printer and tells it when a new cartridge has been installed.

A new cartridge prints light when first installed . When the flag gears reset the printer's toner low message, it will print at a higher voltage to make up for the low voltage on the new toner cartridge. This increases your print quality and as the cartridges page count increases the voltage slowly diminishes. This ensures perfect quality printing throughout the life of the cartridge until the toner is low and is refilled.

The flag gear resets the "Toner End Life" message and will make the printer think you just installed a new cartridge which will reset the voltages to begin a new "cartridge cycle"..
Starter cartridges can be refilled with these flag gears saving you money. You can get 2-3 (we've gotten as many as 8 refills on this cartridge) refills before the cartridge parts wear out and the print quality diminishes. At that time you will have to purchase a new OEM or remanufactured cartridge (which will already have this gear installed on it).
